SST-Porous® BD01 Weldable ePTFE Vent Membrane is independently developed by SST. It is formed by thermally laminating SST-Porous® PTFE breathable membrane with polyester non-woven fabric substrate under precise temperature, pressure, and speed conditions. The composite maintains high air permeability and average pore size while offering excellent delamination resistance. It is easily weldable with various plastic materials using ultrasonic or thermal fusion methods. Delivers IP67/IP68/IP69 protection, reliable pressure equalization, and simple installation. Widely used in Home Electronics, Outdoor Lighting, Photovoltaic Equipment, Security Electronic Equipment, Communication Devices, and Portable Electronic Devices.

    Sealed electronic housings often face pressure differentials caused by temperature changes, leading to condensation, seal failure, and reduced reliability. Traditional vent membranes can be difficult to integrate and prone to delamination when welded with plastic housings.

    SST-Porous® BD01 Weldable ePTFE Vent Membrane, independently developed by SST, solves these challenges. By thermally laminating high-performance PTFE membrane with polyester non-woven fabric under precise conditions, it maintains excellent air permeability while achieving strong bonding strength and delamination resistance. This makes it ideal for direct ultrasonic or thermal fusion welding with various plastic materials, enabling simple, reliable, and permanent integration into equipment housings.

    1. Breathability
    SST-Porous® welded BD01 series vent membrane is composed of SST-Porous® breathable membrane and polyester non-woven fabric (non-woven fabric), which is compounded by hot pressing Made of, has excellent breathability.

    2. Waterproof
    In the structure of the SST-Porous® welded BD01 series breathable membrane, the SST-Porous® breathable membrane is composed of “fibers” and “nodes”. The mesh structure not only has excellent breathability, but also has excellent waterproof effect.

    3. Hydrophobic and oleophobic properties
    In order to meet different application requirements, SST-Porous® can provide water-blocking film (hydrophobic film) and super water-blocking film (oleophobic film). When faced with low surface tension liquids, SST- Porous®Welded BD01 series breathable membranes can meet the requirements of hydrophobic and oleophobic<&== &span>Function.

    4 .Weldability
    SST-Porous®Welded BD01 series breathable membrane can be hot melt or ultrasonic welding Fixed to the plastic shell.

    1). Common plastic categories that can be welded: ABS, PBT, PP, HDPE, PA6, PC, etc.

    2).Selection of hot melt welding temperature: mainly depends on the melting point (Tm) of the plastic, which is generally higher than the melting point of the selected plastic 30~50℃ can be successfully welded.

     

    5. Reliable welding
    The carefully designed SST-Porous® welded BD01 series breathable membrane takes into account the welding characteristics of different material surfaces, and has the characteristics of high welding fastness, safety and reliability. Welding fastness performance.

     

    6. High and low temperature resistance

    1) The use temperature of the product mainly depends on the final use temperature of the double-sided tape or the base material of the breathable film;

    2) For specific temperature requirements, SST application engineers can provide adhesive breathable membrane products with a wider operating temperature range

     

    7. Does not contain PFOA
    SST-Porous® welded BD01 series breathable membrane uses a different material from the PTFE raw material used in e-PTFE. It is obtained from suspension and does not require an emulsifier – perfluorinated Octanoic acid (PFOA) (PFOA is suspected of being carcinogenic). Therefore, SST-Porous® welded BD01 series breathable membrane does not contain PFOA harmful substances.

    For the specially designated SST-Porous® welded BD01 series breathable membrane, you can choose PTFE dispersion raw materials prepared with environmentally friendly emulsifiers, thus making SST-Porous®< /sup>Waterproof and breathable membrane does not contain PFOA.

     

    8. Customizability
    SST-Porous®Welded BD01 series breathable membranes can be selected in different stacking methods, different specifications, sizes or shapes according to customer needs.
